I qualified as a Hypnobirthing teacher after my own beautiful and calm birth experience. I practised the Hypnobirthing techniques during my first pregnancy and birth of my little daughter. For a long time I used to be someone who feared everything surrounding birth. Even just the thought of it made me feel tense.
However, Hypnobirthing changed this for me as I discovered there is another way to experience birth. Hypnobirthing helped me to feel calmer, more relaxed and even excited about birth. What really made a difference was practising the techniques daily, learning how my body actually worked, being informed about my rights and risks as well as choosing a birth environment where I felt safest.
In my case, the safest I felt was undisturbed at home in a birthing pool. It is useful to look into birthplace options early, to know what is right for you. I’m convinced that my birthing experience would have felt very different otherwise. Afterwards I felt so empowered and passionate to share the Hypnobirthing knowledge with more women.
My goal is to empower women to take charge of their bodies and their birthing environment as much as they can beforehand, providing them with tools and help the birth partner realise how crucial their support is during labour. I want every woman, birth partner and baby to have a positive birth experience.
That’s why I do what I do
